Our Services
Why work with our Media Law team?
We have worked with a number of high profile figures, and have particular experience advising politicians in relation to defamatory material, with an excellent track record in obtaining public apologies and damages for them. Our team have previously worked in specialist media law firms and have acted on a series of high profile and legally significant cases, including Economou v De Freitas, a key case regarding the public interest defence found at s4 of the Defamation Act 2013.
We do all we can to find practical and cost-effective solutions. We fully appreciate that this area of law should open and accessible to as many people who need it as possible and should not just be something for film stars and premier league footballers.
This is applicable to both private individuals and businesses, especially when businesses are easily targeted and defamed with false reviews.
Do not be deterred by the fact that a harmful review/comment is made anonymously – there are legal avenues to explore whereby we can pierce anonymity. The identity of “keyboard warriors” can be discovered.
How we can help you?
We regularly advise on all aspects of media law, including:
- Defamation – Libel & Slander
- Reputation Management
- Social media (review and advise)
- Misuse of private information
- Breach of confidence
- Privacy
