Sara Perischine
About
Sara started her legal career as a paralegal at a large national firm, DWF, and later joined Paul Crowley and co Solicitors where she qualified as a Solicitor in 2010.
She has vast litigation experience, having managed a litigation team at a regional firm before relocating to London to work with Manley’s Solicitors where she assisted on a landmark defamation matter, Economou v de Freitas [2016] EWHC 1853. The case was the first of its kind to test the statutory defence of public interest, introduced by The Defamation Act 2013.
Sara stayed in London for several years, working with city firm Pinder Reaux Associates where she split her time between family law and commercial and media litigation. Sara was later headhunted by international city firm, Giambrone and Partners where she worked on a mixed caseload of dispute resolution and family matters, most of which were cross border or had an international element.
Family law
Sara specialises in a range of family matters including divorce, child residence and contact cases and matrimonial finance. She has represented high net worth individuals and has experience of cross border family matters together with jurisdiction battles and child abduction cases.
Sara can also assist with surrogacy issues such as planning a surrogacy, assisting with the UK legal processes, and bringing a child home to secure family status.
Dispute resolution
Sara also has significant civil and commercial litigation experience, working with individuals, organisations and businesses in respect of a variety of legal disputes, often with an international/cross border element.
She has also worked with clients across the media and entertainment industries including those in TV, film, music and sport. She has experience of advising clients in relation to defamation proceedings and assisting with the removal of online defamatory material.
Education, Memberships and Associations
Sara attended Broughton Hall High School in Liverpool where she decided that the law was the right career path for her. She later studied law at Lancaster University before completing the legal practice course at Chester college of law.
